November 2022 Safety Meeting
Steve updates on aircraft status, and pending plane movement updates due to some hangar rash.
Nate discusses runway lighting and Night flying USAF Aero Club regs in the AFI, while audience members remind us, among other things, to keep eyes watching out for wildlife too (no venison steaks with our airplanes please)!
Please be sure to get back to Steve soon about whether we should resume having the holiday party, otherwise you’ll have to listen to me talk about something for December’s meeting. I personally would rather be eating Swedish Meatballs, spiral ham, and other tasty treats!
October 2022 Safety Meeting
Steve discusses a variety of topics, including some USAF Aero Club-wide accident reviews, checklist usage, knowing the rules and regs, and also the biennial inspection from HQ.
As we move into the hangar for the cold temperature season, be mindful of door operation, keeping the planes clear of the door opening, askling for help to avoid hangar rash, and closing the door promptly: your mechanics really appreciate it!

April 2022 Safety Meeting
Great to be back in person! This month, we covered some medical emergencies, signs, and symptoms related to altered mental status, specifically stroke, hypoxia, and CO poisoning. This isn’t just about pilots, but considerations regarding your passengers too.
Special thanks to Rick for bringing some Paramedic insights and knowledge to the discussion.
